News dominated by only one subject at the moment. Having seen some more film of the strength of the water and the debris it contained I now know why there were so many deaths.
End of another busy week. Wednesday had campaign team meeting which was pretty up beat and a good start to the New Year. Campaigning recommences next week and will keep us all very busy.
Friday spent out an about around Kingston picking up an appalling survey of areas where the local Council is really letting people down. I have sent out an press release, with photos, which you can check out here.
Saturday was spent catching up with correspondence and doing some work on campaign strategy. Also have spent some time up dating the website.
Sunday was Epiphany Sunday. In the afternoon popped into a children’s Epiphany party at St. John’s and in the evening attended the Epiphany Carol Service at All Saint’s, Kingston.

Gosh- your site has turned rather nasty.
Christians shouldn't like Lib Dems (which as a Christian I find quite offensive- I can make the choice myself thankyou), Lib Dems shouldn't support the Lib Dems- voting for them is a wasted vote as the tories are the main opposition (like on Iraq and ID cards)and how everyone is being let down by a council whose rating actually improved this year, and who were voted back in as a Lib Dem administration.
Any positive campaigning this Spring Kevin?
Nasty?
I just clicked on the link and as it is not Kevin saying the things on there as it is someone else's website. I don't see you saying that what the site says is wrong. The Lib Dems do hold those policies and you are entitled to vote for whoever you want to but people should make informed decisions.
As a Christian I find it unacceptable that Mr Davis is prepared to allow 'bogus' sites such as this to be linked from his website:

If you want to engage Christians - honesty is the best policy - I don't know who is responsible for this - but it is completely dishonest - if you have something to say about Christianity - say it openly - rather than couch it in bogus political colours.
I will be taking this up with Kingston Council of Churches.
Mary
Mary,
Sorry you are upset but sadly the truth about Lib Dem policies does hurt people of faith. I am a committed Christian and have been attending church since I was seven and will have been attending the same Kingston church for twenty five years this year.
The document you can download on the right is an exhaustive look at all the claims they make and they reference everything to either Lib Dem policy papers or to quotes from leading Lib Dems. I have always taken the attitude that people must make their own minds up about some of this.
Please do speak to the Kingston Council of Churches, althought I admit I was not aware one still existed, and I would be happy to speak to them and have a debate with the Lib Dems on these issues.
