Lib Dem councillors cross floor to Tories

This is a very interesting trend. Are the Lib Dems starting to implode? This is in the Guardan so not a paper one would normally expect to run a pro Conservative story but a very interesting development nevertheless, particularly as this happened before the election.

Lets be charitable, just maybe they have seen the light or has the scottish one just led them too far left?
Local income tax was a terrible idea there cant be many couples in S East who would not aspire to earn £40,000 between them,my guess is that most would aspire to £60/70000 at least as I learn that our poor firemen on basic grade with 10 years service are nearing £30k.
L/Dems are a busted flush and far too left wing now for even the Guardian, perhaps only the BBC will sponsor them?

OFF TOPIC:

I have just discovered a raving leftist blog from the UK: www.http://world-socialism.blogspot.com/

I thought itd be good if you could all go and write stuff on it criticising their stupid left wing posts.

Go for it!

Ah, such objectivity in all your criticisms... "stupid left wing posts".

Do tell me Kevin, how many councillors crossed the floor to the Tories before the General Election? Is funny really, I know a few Tory councillors that have seriously considered crossing the floor to us.

The Tories are currently split down the middle between the traditionalists and the semi-liberals. The leadership contest will once again be a bloody battle between the modernising Conservatives, and those Thatcherites that for some reason just can't seem to let go of the front bench.

This is pathetic. Can you ever imagine any Liberal joining the Tories in Kingtson. It will not happen because you are so so bad. Even with the thousands of pounds spent on a pr company for your campaign you still lost by 10000 votes. Sad.
