David Cameron launched today the Conservative approach to the vitally important issue of the environment. More specifically it is about what we can do together to sort out these issues. This is issue is becoming so important that were we to win the elections in May then I am hopeful that this might be an area where the political parties can build some consensus for Kingston. As for us in Kingston? We have targeted the environment and recycling as one of the four key areas (the others being Council Tax, Spending wisely and Crime and antisocial behaviour). Below is the relevant extract from our manifesto.

New Malden Liberal Democracts have apparently been telling voters on the doorstep that they will clean up New Malden 'with a vengance', mend the hazardous roads, and strike back pride into our local Environment.
Very good Mr and Mrs Liberal Democrat, but it does pose the question of what exactly it is you've been doing for the last four years????
As a resident of New Malden I have noticed a significant improvement in the cleanliness of the area over the past few years. Lets not have this negativity all the time and respect the Lib Dems for the things they have actually done very well.
By all means, we should respect other parties for what they do well, but the Liberals' have made Coombe Vale - an excellent ward, into a run down area with little time or investment put into it.
Time & time again when I've been out canvassing and talking to residents' the story and complaints are the same.
- The High St.
- Council Tax
- The Disgusting state of Coombe Vale/New Malden roads
- Endless amounts of Graffitti everywhere.
Sorry, no respect from me and none from the decent residents' of Coombe Vale/New Malden.
Lets face it the L/Dems are probably very ernest and honourable folk,the problem is they are the amateur party.
Lets back some professional expertise this time and get the "spend at all cost" culture out.
Tough decisions are now required to reduce costs and slash headcounts in City Hall.
We cannot do much about Livingstone except hope for an outbreak of alien abducteeism.
