Yet more good news for the Conservatives. The poll lead has opened up to 10 points, the largest since the 1992 general Election win. Six months ago we were ten points behind. To make life happier for the residents of Kingston the Lib Dems have also fallen further as they struggle to cope with the Conservative revival.
One of the most respected websites for polling predictions now has this to say about the state of the parties after the election and Kingston & Surbiton in particular.

Calm yourself Kevin, there's no such thing as a uniform swing.
I suspect some of those Libs (Davey in Kingston, Evan Harris in my own Oxford West) are so entrenched that their personal vote will keep them in against any national swing - which just encourages us to go out more often and work a damn sight harder to shift the beggars!
There is also no such thing as a safe Lib Dem seat. Kingston had a 7% swing against the Lib Dems last year and another 6.5% swing against them in this year's elections.
When the time comes to kick the Government out the borrowed Conservative votes will leave the Lib Dems.
I am not sure whether your non de plume has any relevance, or whether it is a Keble affectation, but did you see the news yesterday that Margaret Thatcher is to be given a state funeral when she dies?
Do you really think the Libs will only poll 18% in the next General Election in Kingston? You must be joking - you are joking arnt you?
Hi Kevin
I am new to the party, but am excited by the local election results, and am pleased to see David Camerons polices make a real difference on the polls.
I have only been a member for 3 months or so, but can clearly see that the Conservatives are the only party that can make a difference to peoples lives.
Keep up the good work. (I was sorry to hear about your defeat in Berrylands, but you can now dedicate your time to attacking the Lib Dems from outside the Guildhall).
It does not say the Lib Dems will poll 18%. It says they will poll 40.57%.
ha ha ha ha. Sorry I let Rob out to play without moderating him. Only Rob would mistake 40% for 18%. Apologies I will keep him on a tighter lease.
